cookbook release

October 2nd, 2010 — 4:12pm

This week marks the launch of Martha Nesbit’s cookbook Savannah Celebrations. I was honored Martha selected me as the photo stylist on this project (my first cookbook ever). It is always nice to see the final product after all the hours of work, schlepping and countless lists become a distant memory. These are some of my favorite pictures from the project. More often than not publishers select images that are my least favorite, but I’m no publisher I’m just a girl that loves to make pretty pictures.

special thanks to Janice Shay and Erin Adams

southern flourish

January 7th, 2010 — 3:06am

Curiosity seekers unite.
I’ve been asked to contribute to a new online magazine called Southern Flourish that will launch in the spring.  With the absolute sad state of things at the news stands this is a welcome addition to my online reading repertoire.  I hope you agree.
This is the link to the teaser page where you can sign up to get an email when it launches.  www.southernflourish.com

welcome 2010

January 7th, 2010 — 2:35am

As I fill in my new 2010 calendar I look back at the journey that has lead me to event planning I am thankful for the past and optimistic about the future.  One door closes and another opens. If you don’t already know (from reading my store blog) I’m in the process of closing my shop and moving full speed ahead into event design and styling.  It is an exciting prospect knowing the wonderful brides that have already procured my services.  I look forward to theirs and many other weddings in the coming year.  So to Scottee, Ashley, Julie, Sydney and Kara I say happy new year and thank you for trusting me with your vision.  I feel really lucky to have such terrific brides to work with.
