I can hardly contain myself
It’s official, I just signed on with San Francisco based Publisher Chronicle Books to produce my first book!!!!!! Chronicle is my all time favorite publisher. I’m especially excited to have their gifted art directors, graphic designers and editors on my team. Scheduled for release in Fall 2012.
So….if you are a couple looking to hire a very creative planner for your wedding, are getting married before June 2011 and would entertain the possiblity of being featured in my book we should chat.

holiday

In the styling world Matthew Mead is a super star and I was honored to be asked to contribute to his spectacular new magazine Holiday. I’ve been anxiously awaiting my issue in the mail and it came today. Matthew included it in a package that held the table top crepe paper Christmas trees I created for the Yule Blog feature. I was so excited to see the magazine I forgot to unpack my trees (if you have a copy they are on page 9, number 11). They are still in my studio and the magazine sits here in my lap with many, many pages marked with post it notes.
There is also a fantastic review on fellow contributor, Debbie Dusenberry’s blog.
Holiday with Matthew Mead is sold only via his website. visit here to get yours today

Just got word that my feature for the November issue of Southern Living is on newsstands. Some images below or you can watch the video here

cookbook release
This week marks the launch of Martha Nesbit’s cookbook Savannah Celebrations. I was honored Martha selected me as the photo stylist on this project (my first cookbook ever). It is always nice to see the final product after all the hours of work, schlepping and countless lists become a distant memory. These are some of my favorite pictures from the project. More often than not publishers select images that are my least favorite, but I’m no publisher I’m just a girl that loves to make pretty pictures.
special thanks to Janice Shay and Erin Adams

southern living october issue
I’m so excited to share the first house I styled for Southern Living is in the October issue that just came out! It was an amazing house filled with the sort of textiles & treasures photo stylists like me swoon over. It brings back all sorts of fun memories: starting 4 hours late because the photographer’s car was stolen before she even left Atlanta to drive to Athens, GA for the shoot, there was a torrential down poor and there were tornado warnings all day, we had 35-45 second exposures to get all that “natural” light you see in the images. Crazy but we managed to make beautiful pictures, dine in great restaurants and have lots of laughs. It was lovely to meet all the folks behind the scenes and the family (and extended family) of the home owners. Stay tuned cause I have 2 more features coming up in the November issue and several already shot for next year too.

Images from a recent magazine photo shoot with my friend George Gill of Blue Door Photography. They were taken for a sweet article about vintage wedding cake toppers I wrote for Savannah Weddings Magazine. Can’t wait to see it all put together.
